Community standards.
Colorado = Security is dedicated to promoting all the great people, organizations, events, and companies in Information Security in Colorado. Our vision is to solidify Colorado as the premier location for security companies and talent in the world.
In order to meet the goals of this community, it's important for members to feel like they are in a safe place that is populated by people with shared interests. As such, we request that you read and adhere to the guidelines that follow.

- Be tolerant towards others' viewpoints; respectfully disagree when opinions do not align
- Respect the privacy and personal information of community members
- Communicate with courtesy and respect

Selling and promotion
This community works because members can talk openly without becoming a sales target. Vendors, consultants and service providers are welcome here as members, and the line is about behaviour rather than who you work for.
- Share events, including your own, in #events
- Do not send direct messages to members to sell, pitch or promote a product, a service, or an event, whether you send the message yourself or a tool sends it for you
- Do not use the member directory, channel membership, or anything you learn here to build a prospecting list
If someone messages you this way, tell Alex or Robb on Slack. We would rather hear about it once than have you leave quietly.
Consequences of violations
Within a one-year period.
- Warning
- Suspension of account for one week
- Suspension of account for one year
- Permanent removal from community
For questions, concerns or suggestions, contact Alex or Robb on Slack.
